World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The feature of upgrading items lets players upgrade their equipment. This can be done at any item upgrade r NPC.
Upgrades increase the main stat of an item and also add extras depending on its type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB Sorcs, or Goldwraps for caster builds.
Armour
Link's armor is a key element to protect him from danger. While it isn't able to be upgraded like weapons, you can still enhance its defence capabilities in various ways.
Armour is designed to safeguard animals or people from injury or harm regardless of whether it's a direct physical attack or a range of activity or environmental hazards. In the past, armour was primarily made from fabric or leather but later, protections made of metal were also used, especially in military applications such as heavy cavalry or combat drones.
There are many ways to upgrade armour but the majority of them require you to visit one of four Great Fairy Fountains scattered throughout Hyrule. Each fountain has a unique level of upgrades available, with more granting greater levels of protection, but requiring a higher cost in rupees and materials to unlock.
The first thing to remember about Armor Upgrades is they are permanent upgrades and once they've been installed, they can't be replaced unless you have another piece of equipment that comes with the same upgrade. It is crucial to only apply the highest level of upgrades to your gear and that you have the required materials to complete the upgrade.
You will find the upgrades you need in many places around Hyrule. These include shrines, merchants, and even enemies. They'll usually be identified with an gold circle or blue triangle, and will be available in large quantities as you advance through the game. They may appear randomly but there is a chance that getting certain upgrades will trigger a quest that will reward you with even more.
It's important to keep in mind that, although the level offered by each upgrade could differ but it will always be greater than zero. This is due to the fact that a full set of upgraded armor will give you a significant defense boost that will protect you from all types of attacks except magic which makes it a very effective weapon for any class.
Weapons
You can upgrade your guns by using special upgrades to make them unique. They can boost damage, change the weapon's stats so that they are suited to your specific build and even unlock new attachments, such as unique enchantments, ammo types and more aesthetic options.
To upgrade a weapon you'll require an upgrade component ready and the item itself. The weapon must be at or above a certain point for the upgrade to take effect and most weapons can only take one upgrade at one time.
Weapon upgrade components are available all over the world, from the enemy or from merchants. The upgrade components themselves are made up of components that can be slotted into armor, weapons trinkets and gathering tools to grant an attribute bonus or other effect while they're in use. The equipment must be a certain level before it can accept the upgrade. It can be upgraded the same way as other items.
The upgrades themselves are a combination of Smithing Stones and Runes, and they are used for enhancing the base stats of a weapon and improving its scaling with other stats. They can be found among enemies who drop them in the open world, bought from certain vendors or as drops in combat.
Two NPCs can upgrade your weapon: Blacksmith Hewg, in the Roundtable Hold hub zone and the Smithing Master Iji, in the Road to Manor hub zone. Both of these NPCs will accept your Smithing Stones and Runes in exchange for a higher-level version of the weapon as well as an enhancement.
Prioritize upgrading your top-in-slot items first. Then upgrade the ones you're not likely to replace in the near future. If you're planning on playing a melee build, for instance, upgrade your weapon, then your chest and shoulders, then your hands and feet. The same principles apply to Magic and Utility Items, with the caveat that some items may be better than others based on the style of play you prefer. Armour is the same, with certain reforges better than others.
Magic Items
A character is able to upgrade only one magic item at one time. If an upgrade project has been cancelled, no more upgrades will be made for that item. Upgraded magic items cost twice as much gold to make or purchase, but can have additional benefits.
A magical item could be any item that has special properties or effects. Most of these items are weapons, but some are also armor, shields and cloaks, potions, rings, scrolls and other objects. Some of these items can be made to speak.
The majority of magic items have their abilities enhanced. This makes them more useful to players or aid players overcome difficult situations. Infused weapons can offer an additional amount of damage to a specific kind of enemy, for example. This is especially useful for those who have reached a level where they're likely to encounter a particular kind of monster over and over again in Dungeons.
A ring that is infused can grant immunity to bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage from nonmagical attacks (not including silvered ones) until the next time the character is taking a long rest. This is particularly beneficial for melee fighters or any person who wishes to stay clear of buying an armor.
Certain objects with enchanted properties have special powers which allow the character to cast spells that are not in their class list. This is beneficial for those who are having trouble filling their spell slots due to multiclassing. These enchanted items generally require an Intelligence (Arcana) check prior to use them, and the spell's effectiveness is determined by rolling on an index that is based on the number Intelligence points spent.
Other items that can be enchanted may allow the player to change their appearance, or create a completely new appearance. These items are especially beneficial for characters who were forced to leave their home, or are in a location that they might not be welcome. A magical item could grant them an invisibility effect, or even make them invisible to everyone but a select few.
Utility Items
Utility items are those that do not fit into the categories of Armor, Clothing or Weapons, and provide a range of different capabilities. Utility items are not compatible with each other, unlike Armor or Weapons. The majority of utility items come with a passive effect that players can activate while using them. However, some have additional abilities which are activated by pressing a button or triggering a skill.
Generally speaking, the most popular kind of utility item is the Flashlight that is used to illuminate the surrounding area. Other utility items include the Helicopter Cap and Rocket Boots which allow the player to float in mid-air while moving and the Jetpack that allows the player to accelerate in all directions while on the ground. Several useful items can be immediately created in the Engineering section while others are unlockable through Research projects or experimental projects in the Proving Ground.

In addition to the items available in the normal inventory, players can also unlock the most useful items of utility by buying them from the Atomic Shop and also from seasonal Scoreboard rewards (such as the Shadow Goggles). Certain of these items can be upgraded to allow more effective use.
Most utility items give players an advantage in navigation or enhance the effectiveness of a particular combat skill. For instance, Sharpening stones created by the Weaponsmith increase Power and Ferocity and Maintenance Oils made by the Huntsman boost the concentration and healing power. Other items of utility like Writs and Theses crafted by the Scribe can be used to give players either a boost in damage or condition damage.
All XCOM soldiers are capable of equipping one utilitarian item at the start of the campaign, and an additional slot can be obtained through the use of certain types armor or completing engineering, research or experiments in the Proving Ground. In the Alien Hunters DLC, additional slots are created by equipping the Grenade Launcher which lets the player equip a Smoke Grenade or Bomb in another grenade slot. an offensive grenade can be placed in the main slot for grenades.
